WCS Lao PDR Donates Project Equipment to the Office of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor

On 15 May 2026, the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Lao PDR officially handed over project equipment to the Office of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor of Lao PDR to strengthen its capacity in combating wildlife crime and improving prosecutorial effectiveness.

The handover ceremony was attended by Ms. Manoly Sisavanh, Deputy Project Director of WCS Lao PDR, and Mr. Bounthan Bounthavilay, Deputy Head of the Office of the Supreme People’s Prosecutor, together with representatives from both organizations.

The donated equipment included 15 laptop computers, 2 printers, and 3 projectors with accessories, with a total value of USD 39,100.

This support was funded by the European Union through the GUARD Project, implemented under the International Consortium on Combating Wildlife Crime (ICCWC) in partnership with WCS Lao PDR. The contribution aims to strengthen the capacity of Lao prosecutors in addressing wildlife and forest crime and enhance inter-agency cooperation in law enforcement.
